The Front Bottoms
This box set for The Front Bottoms was designed to capture the band’s originality through original image-making, photography, and hand lettering.
I drew inspiration from the original album covers. I used sketched typography with photography to capture the band’s gritty style. My mood board was based on songs I had a personal connection to, which I recreated to reflect my design vision.
For Devotion, I wanted the teeth and lips to be the focal point, symbolizing the intimacy and passion of kissing a lover. For Desperation, the eyes became the main focus image because they convey deep emotion, and despair is often seen through someone’s eyes. Dehumanization focused on pulling and ripping hair, representing how thoughts in the mind make us human.
